Surplus Property Helps Equip a Missouri Training Facility
In the mountains of Southeast Missouri, Asymmetric Solutions (AS) veterans and retired law enforcement officers provide military and protective training for an array of clients. As a customer of the Missouri State Agency of Surplus Property (MOSASP), they have acquired several pieces of property to assist with operations.
Asymmetric Solutions is a military/tactical training facility headquartered in Eureka, MO. In addition to its Missouri location, it also has facilities in Florida and New Mexico.
“We do everything from small arms training, scenario-based training, breaching, intel gathering, hand-to-hand combat, and medical training,” said Facility Director & Co. Logistician, Keith Trulove.
This training helps keep its clients up to speed in many potential scenarios, especially in this everchanging world.
“We also give law enforcement training, which allows us to give back to the community,” said Vice President of Security Operations, Curt Burgdorf.
Recently, the Chicago Police Department S.W.A.T. team came down for their annual training at the facility. MOSASP representatives were lucky enough to visit AS’ Missouri facility in December 2024. During their tour, they were able to see the 2,000 meter sniper range, the 13,000 square foot shoot house, and the grounds that surrounded the facility.
Furthermore, MOSASP team members were able to get a better understanding of the company, including potential future property acquisition needs. While providing property that can be utilized for purposes that align with the organization’s vision, MOSASP has saved the company a lot of money.
So far, AS has acquired two vehicles and a large storage container that will be used around the 1,800 acre facility. Keith is thankful for the services of MOSASP and the ability to get federal property at reduced costs. This helps the organization offer more for less for its clients.
“Surplus property has helped us out immensely for what we do on a day-to-day basis. We have gotten a couple boats, a generator, medical supplies, and a couple blazers. The procurement process has been painless,” Keith said.
MOSASP warehouse manager, Ernie Rademann, brings a helpful attitude to MOSASP. If property is not at the warehouse, he will look for it on the federal Personal Property Management System (PPMS) website.
“I am always happy to help our customers find what they need even if that means I have to look each morning to see what is available across the nation,” Ernie said.
“I am very thankful for my team and for customers like Asymmetric Solutions, who allow us to be an avenue of service. We are here to provide cost-effective property so that our customers can operate more strategically,” said MOSASP Manager Lee Ann Blythe.
